I don't think so.

If some real quality is still there in the late 3rd or 4th, maybe, but what we have now is decent enough at TE (assuming we re-sign Quarless - which we certainly should). The same cannot be said for Safety or ILB or OLB. I would also put O-Line at a higher priority than TE.

Seems like this years TE class is like last years RBs: lots of late 1st round and early 2nd round grades. Wouldn't be surprised if we scoop up one in the 2nd round similar to how they nabbed Lacy last year.

If they picked a TE with one of their first 4 picks with the other 3 being D I wouldn't complain.

Quarless was a major component in our last Super Bowl victory. He was looking pretty good at the end of last season. I think he has gotten more confidence in his rehabbed knee. I really want to see him resigned and then maybe add another later round pick. We have a lot more pressing needs than TE.

I like Quarless a lot and think he is one of a handful of players we should re-sign. He was targeted only 54 times last season but had 32 receptions, 18 for 1st downs. He is reliable, and a great blocker. That latter component makes him more valuable to me.

Quarless, Bostic, Taylor, Stoneburner, new guy(can't remember name), draft pick.

That's 6 only 5, maybe 4 will make the final 53, gonna need Quarless and Taylor for some experience.
Hopefully Bostic improves enough to make a difference, still thibk Stoneburner is another year away.

Mucky Tundra (16-Sep) : bears still have slim chance here
