Zero, modern day nose tackles need to be 320 or better. We have two guys like that now, Raji and Pickett. The rest will be DE's. Since Pickett is getting up, I'd rather see us use his snaps as backup NT and spell Raji.

Defensive Tackle 4 - 3
Nose Tackle 3 - 4

So, not sure how the Packers have a DT at all, since they deploy a 3 - 4 'base' defense.

This guy gained more weight than Clay Matthews III -- and in less time. Where are all the paranoiacs squawking about how he must have been on steroids? [duh]

Let's use them both and just call him Beast Diesel. Works for me.

Daniels looks like he could be a good fit in rotation at DE in our system. Rotate Worthy and Daniels, and we're cool. We all know Capers can get creative, so, if we switch to a 4-3 for a couple of plays, he'll fit well at the 3 tech DT. I think what is going to happen with Daniels (and Worthy for that matter) is disruption of opposing plays. We'll have way more for teams to account for this season with what we've added in the front 7. I don't think Capers & Co care too much about him being a 1 gap player in his experience at Iowa. The guy simply gets back there and messes up plays. Big speed to go with interesting size. Some of these bigger OGs and OTs that we'll play are going to have their work cut out for them.

Love the wrestling background too, and his abilities to stay low, and in using his hands and arms to break through blocks. Add Perry to that... Imagine what this will do for Raji, Pick and Matthews.

Daniels -could- flip the switch on our DL rotation from "GOOD" to "FREAKING AWESOME."

Besides, all you need to do to gain weight in Iowa is live here....the diet and boredom will do the rest.

It's going to be interesting to see how they us Daniels. Depending upon the situation he could be used anywhere along the line. The same could be said of Worthy. Capers should be able to use his imagination with these players.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

dfosterf (19-Apr) : Put him at right guard. That is where he will be coached. That is where he will compete. He is not even allowed to look at the LT playbook.

beast (5-Apr) : Probably not going to let Diggs walk away unless he's horrible... but according to reports he also might not be as good as he used to be.
beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC
