Trying to get a handle on this game since these teams have changed dramatically since week 3. The 49ers have unleashed Deebo from the backfield, giving them lots of mismatch opportunities and they've stiffened up on defense around their front four and their secondary has improved compared to earlier in the year. On Green Bays side, Stokes was only in his 3rd pro game (can't even remember if he started or not), Douglas wasn't even on the roster, Dillon only had 9 carries coming into the game and Yosh was making his first start with a gameplan that heavily protected him in pass pro.

When I went back and looked at game highlights from the Cowboys and 49ers, one thing kept sticking out to me: Dak, when given time, was able to push the ball downfield for big chunks of yardage. So does Green Bay try the same with Bakh, Myers and Turner back in the lineup? MVS is battling a back injury which is a problem since he tends to open up stuff with his speed downfield. On defense, the game vs Dallas showed how efficient their offense could be with the run game picking up yards and getting wide open receivers with motion. Jimmy G was near perfect throughout the first half. But the minute the 49ers offense stalled, it seemed like all their advantages disappeared in the blink of an eye and Jimmy G was the last guy you wanted at QB. I can't shake the feeling about him that I had during the San Fran-KC Super Bowl when Shanahan chose not to try to get more points before halftime even when they had time to move the ball and timeouts (I think they still had some). To me it was ultimate condemnation of Jimmy G as a QB: your own coach didn't trust you with the 2 minute drill in a Super Bowl vs a team that piled up points at times like they were in a Madden game. Ultimately, I really don't see Jimmy G having two playoff winning performances on the road in back to back weeks.

Playoff Time.
Packers as healthy as they have been all year.
Little tidbit I heard today.
Jimmy G. Has never started or thrown a pass in The NFL with temp under 40 degrees
Bosa starting, I expect he will see a big dose of AJ Dillon to soften him up.
Haven't been sweating this game at all.

No one showed up. So sick of these playoff games where the whole team just gives up in the 4th quarter. Probably Rodgers last game as a Packer.

The defense did a decent job except for that last drive. They only gave up 6 points.
The TD was given up by our lousy special teams.
How our offense did virtually nothing after the first drive, I don’t understand.
I’m just sick over this game.
Another in the long line of disappointing seasons.
Another WASTED season.

Got forced into work due to call-ins and people testing positive for covid. Followed the first two drives of the game on my phone on my lunch break and all looked great. Get off work and see the score and of course it was ST that killed us in the end. Defense played great and the offense while absolutely anemic after the opening drive did enough to win. I can't help but compare this game one between the Colts and the Ravens back in 2007. Manning played like trash with multiple picks but the Colts got enough points on the board thanks to special teams and the defense held the Ravens in check to 6 points. Final score? 15-6. Manning got roasted in the media and if Green Bay pulled it off tonight Rodgers would have deserved to be as well. But one guy one won and the other didn't.

For whatever reason, it seems like all three phases of the game just never line up when they need to.

Like I said earlier, I had a bad feeling about this game. I wish I would have been wrong.😖😔
What happened to the short quick passes??? They worked all through the regular season. You can’t tell me no one was getting open. Three on Adams HAD to leave someone open.
Rodgers chokes all the time when it counts.
We didn’t get any farther then the Vikings, Bears and Lions.
Won the division.
Got home field advantage.
Crapped the bed.....again.

As always, when Aaron does too much coke before a game, he stops executing the offense and runs wild. Been the same thing since 2015.

Martha Careful (5-Apr) : Diggs has not stepped up in the playoffs and has a high cost
beast (5-Apr) : Probably not going to let Diggs walk away unless he's horrible... but according to reports he also might not be as good as he used to be.
beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC
Mucky Tundra (5-Apr) : Odd, why give up a 2025 2nd Rounder for him if you're just gonna let him walk?
Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : Texans to let Diggs be free agent in '25
buckeyepackfan (4-Apr) : 49r's aign RB Patrick Taylor.
Martha Careful (4-Apr) : Reversion to the mean would indicate we will keep it
Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : It's also been utilized in a trade in 14 of the past 20 years
Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft hasn't been made by it's original holder since 2016.
Mucky Tundra (4-Apr) : Gotta imagine that Green Bay vs Houston will be a primetime game this upcoming season
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
