I enjoy hearing the signals and players making adjustments. we can not hear these as well with fans in stands.

Further, I can live without all the stupid fan reaction shots esp. on games on Fox.

Fine by me.

I was kind of hoping I could go to a game. It would be nice to sit in the stands and not have someone practically on your lap.

When playing Madden video game, I would turn off the announcers because I liked hearing the players comments. It's the same concept now without fans. In the game I would hear the fans, an no announcers. In NFL I hear announcers and no fans. The by product is in both I hear players raw comments and I get a kick out of that. Patrick Mahomes or someone said "Come on man!!" on the sideline. I love that kind of genuine commenting.

Back in the 90s NBC had the AFC games. They broadcast a game without any announcers. Last week of the season. It was the Jets vs Bengals or another pathetic AFC team so nobody cared anyway. I was at a hotel somewhere and turned it on for a few minutes before I left the room. It was kinda odd. Just weak crowd noise and mics pointing at the field to pick up the players. As I said I didn't watch it very long but I kind of liked it without all the meaningless babble. As a rule I don't listen to the commentary even thought I know it's there.
