I have the same reaction to raw coconut. Another thing i ate with no problem as a kid.
Also, shrimp.
Those are the 3 killers for me. And all 3 i ate with no problem in the past.

Last year, i ate a "health" bar instead of a cookie (my wife wouldn't let me have the cookie) when i was at Alterra. Well, the bar had coconut in it. My mouth started to swell, throat itchy. Ended up rushing to the clinice a couple miles away. They gave me a shot, and i was ok.
Gave me some alergy pills and a epi-pen just in case of problems in the future.
